Titanium USAPremium Coloured Competition Plates are serious weight lifting plates that are in a class of their own and have been engineered for elite training facilities.

Sitting at the core of these plates is a triple layered steel centre hub that provides them with a rock solid foundation and overall strength far above any others on the market. And to take it one step further, rather than just coating the centre hub with the standard chrome plating used by our competitors, the centre hub of these plates is finished of with a textured industrial grade zinc coating to protect them again rust, scratches, chipping and discolouration. This unique deign also makes the plates slimmer so you can load more weight onto the barbell sleeves for extremely heavy lifts. The centre hole is exactly 50.4mm to ensure the tightest possible fit while allowing them to slide easily onto the barbell sleeves.

The rubber we have sourced is of the highest quality virgin rubber so they not only look fantastic but will withstand heavy punishment in any elite gym and ensure the specified weight of these plates are extremely accurate. This also provides a low degree of bounce for added safety so you dont have bars and plates shooting off and hitting others in the environment.

The raised outside edges prevent metal-on-metal contact between the centrediscs to reduce wear and tear and noise during drops.

Sizes available are 10 kg, 15 kg, 20 kg & 25 kg.

Why are Bumper Plates rated using the Shore Durometer Scale?
The Shore Durometer Test is the standard international system that is used to test the hardness of rubber and other synthetic compounds. The Durometer Scale was developed in the 1920s by Albert F. Shore, who created a device to measure these types of materials and so it has been named after him.
Material hardness is rated and defined according to its resistance to permanent indentation or total failure. Examples of “total failure” would be if the bumper plates were to warp or buckle during use or the inserts detaching.
The word “Durometer” has two specific meanings; The name of the instrument used to conduct these tests and the rating achieved based on the Shore Durometer Scale.
This device works by providing a rating of 0 to 100. To give you a perspective on this, most car tyres are rated at approximately 65, which is fairly high as they need to withstand a lot of punishment. A bumper plate with a reading of over 65 is considered more than acceptable.
