The Troy GO-U plates are encased in a cast polyurethane (CPU) coating, which is one of the most durable coatings available today. This makes the plates virtually indestructible and maintenance-free. The urethane coating is less porous than rubber, making it more hygienic and odor-resistant.

The plates feature an interlocking design that makes lifting and loading easier from any position. This feature also allows users to safely load more plates onto machines and bars.

The Olympic plates have a weight tolerance of 2%, which means they are highly accurate. The plates are available in a range of weights, from 2.5lb to 45lb, and all have a 2″/50mm diameter opening. The 2.5lb, 5lb, and 10lb plates do not have grip handles, but the larger plates have three grip handles designed to make them easy to move.
